If adults would act like adults versus putting the burden on to the kids – schools could be open. The big missing piece I notice from this study is not filtering out the data by counties/schools districts as there are best practices – I know for a fact Cypress ISD modified all their ventilation systems to increase outdoor air flow. We see in our own data counties in the same state produce different results. Nonetheless the conclusion is schools should open and kids are not the primary direct cause of increase transmission but the adults doing things above and beyond teaching and staying at home. Don’t blame the act of going to school for increase transmission – which at some level is worth it for the well-being of the youths. https://www.nber.org/system/files/working_papers/w28753/w28753.pdf

“Overall, we find convincing evidence that opening schools led to community spread, and

was likely facilitated by increased mobility, which could arise both directly in schools but also indirectly through the behaviors of parents or other adults.”

“We then use SafeGraph mobility data to provide evidence that spillovers to adults’ behaviors

contributed to these large effects. Median time spent outside the home on a typical weekday

increased substantially in neighborhoods with large numbers of school-age children, suggesting a

return to in-person work or increased outside-of-home leisure activities among parents.”

If we implemented CO2 guidelines and use Ivermectin as standard practice for prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19 we could significantly reduce the impact of Covid-19. If approved as treatment the vaccines could no longer be administered under the emergency act.

“Peer reviewed by medical experts that included three US government senior scientists and published in the American Journal of Therapeutics, the research is the most comprehensive review of the available data taken from clinical, in vitro, animal, and real-world studies.

Led by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), a group of medical and scientific experts reviewed published peer-reviewed studies, manuscripts, expert meta-analyses, and epidemiological analyses of regions with ivermectin distribution efforts all showing that ivermectin is an effective prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19.

"We did the work that the medical authorities failed to do, we conducted the most comprehensive review of the available data on ivermectin," said Pierre Kory, MD, president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC. "We applied the gold standard to qualify the data reviewed before concluding that ivermectin can end this pandemic."”

“Many regions around the world now recognise that ivermectin is a powerful prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19. South Africa, Zimbabwe, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Mexico, and India have approved the drug for use by medical professionals.”

They probably should have noted when each of the above country approved this as most of those counties have high death per capita and fatality rates – perhaps that’s why they have approved it?

India the leader again

Good sign for India – peak likely hit – hopefully start moving down.

On the US front we see FL leading confirmation – NY leading deaths but we are now talking small numbers on relative basis

So small that barely any counties now make our threshold – but the typical cohorts.
